5. Thanks! Got my plastic bag the other day in the mail

I did think it was odd that it was a plastic bag of all things but whatever. I put a can of creamed style corn in the bag and it will be off to the food bank this afternoon when the postal person picks it up. I chose that can because it is a favorite of mine.

I usually get about 4 or 5 bucks worth of stuff and fill my rural mailbox. Small price to pay for helping to feed hungry people.
I live in a very small town and we I guess we no longer have a scout troop so we don't get the opportunity to contribute to their food drive around Thanksgiving like we used to. With the state of the economy for all but the well off I think it is more important than ever that we try to contribute a bit as we can.

I always buy peanut butter and tuna to include, as well as beans. Although we are financially comfortable now, there was a time when we needed a little help, too.
