Starting to get very excited about the rumors

. . .that the President will publicly change his position on gay marriage rights in an interview today.

I know his position has been a spineless and politically timid one, so far. Still, I can't help but feel like just gushing with emotion over the prospect that he'll put his position and office behind marriage equality, once and for all.

Of course, I'll be damned disappointed and glum if he doesn't; or falls short in some way. Can't stop refreshing the two threads . . .

Best of luck to all of us, DUers!

When President Obama has this kind of controversy going on - and scrutiny on these types of things - we sucker punch someone or a country.

So not only will we have THIS announcement - but in 48 hours something big will follow that's already been done and can't be undone. And yep - I'm hyper about both this announcement and then whatever is to come afterwards.

If he makes a stand on this - then it's out there - and we can also say (women) we want fucking fair pay too. Or we don't vote you. Women can piggy back on this civil right issue with the fair pay economic civil right issue.
