Chris Matthews and Ed Rendell lying their asses off about TPP.

They are mad. Tweety is acting like a little spoiled rich brat throwing a fit. He and Rendell only talking about exports and tariffs and never mentioning that is only a tiny part of this piece of feces. Rendell says NAFTA and past fake free trade deals created a gazillion export jobs in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Not once do they mention massive increases in imports, the 50,000 closed factories and job losses, or the 10 trillion dollars in trade deficits. Tweety has always been an idiot when it comes to economics and trade, only knowing a short list of talking points and nothing more. Rendell is nothing more than a bought and paid for liar.

Brookings --

If TPP fails, who is to blame?

Passing TPP would be a geopolitical and economic boon for America. These benefits need not and will not come at the expense of workers or the regulatory sovereignty of countries. On the contrary, under deep FTAs, countries retain their right to regulate. Rather, the aim of the agreement is to increase international competitiveness in order to create better quality jobs.

If TPP nonetheless fails, the next question will naturally be who is to blame? Congress should be mindful that by failing to deliver on TPA, it risks becoming the weak link in the U.S.-led endeavor to craft a liberal economic order.

Globalization is here to stay, and failure to pass TPA or to conclude the TPP will not change this. However, TPP is a key opportunity for the U.S. to continue to determine the terms of globalization and to ensure that its development supports U.S. growth and welfare.

The TPP is an agreement that will support a U.S. economic future that is geared towards innovation in high-end manufacturing and services. The TPP will also underpin a global economic system that is rules-based, consistent with U.S. values, and strengthens the ability of U.S. businesses to compete in TPP markets. Such a system will ensure that the U.S. benefits more fully from the global economy—and the opportunities here are significant. Currently, 95 percent of the world’s population lives outside the United States. Global middle-class consumption is projected to grow from $21 trillion in 2009 to over $56 trillion in 2030, with most of the growth happening outside the U.S. in the Asia-Pacific region. [8]

The TPP will also support other strategic goals of the U.S. in the region. As noted, the TPP is a central part of the U.S. rebalancing towards Asia. In this way, the TPP will underpin U.S. alliances with TPP parties such as Japan and Australia and provide opportunities for the U.S. to deepen its relationship with emerging strategic partners such as Vietnam.

Thus, the TPP is an important trade agreement that will produce economic and broader strategic gains for the U.S. The TPP negotiations can be concluded this year but achieving this will require Congress to pass TPA. It is time for Congress to act.

Free trade bills are killing jobs. These trade deals make it easier to move overseas.

It really pisses me off dems acting like Republicans on Trade.

Rendell is a DINO.

Any Dems who keep to their guns on TPP after today's vote are the real dems

and hey MSM Hillary isn't only one running.Bernie Sanders is running no matter how much you ignore him.
