7 Absurd Hillary Clinton Conspiracy Theories That Might Make Her Press Silence Less Surprising

http://www.bustle.com/articles/82833-7-absurd-hillary-clinton-conspiracy-theories-that-might-make-her-press-silence-less-surprising

Former U.S. Secretary of State and 2016 presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is continuing to annoy right-wing politicians and reporters everywhere by refusing to speak to the press. Clinton has refused to talk to reporters for so long that The Washington Post has started a silly clock that counts the minutes since she last answered a press question, and at the time this article was written, it read 30,232.5 minutes (almost 21 days). But, when you do some research on some of the truly absurd things that people have said about Clinton and husband and former President Bill Clinton, her silence makes a lot of sense.

The election is 19 months away. Nobody wants the campaign season to start now. Lay low until the final year then go hard.

That exactly what I consider any wannabe contender for the highest office in the land that doesn't have the guts to take on the homefield press.

Let the other contenders rant and rave to the press. Hillary does not need to. She needs to be speaking with the people directly.

and posting it here as if it were anything but, is dumb. And yes those CTs are batshit crazy, but still she's creating a narrative that dovetails all too neatly with one that damaged her in the 2007-2008 primary. There has to be a better way for her campaign to deal with this.

"overexposure" and for her to STFU. Now, she speaking only to everyday people without a slew of reporters, and guess what, they are now complaining about HRC hasn't spoken to reporters and counting the minutes of same.

And it was a thread on that very same subject here at DU where the continuation of bashing ensured.

As with Pres O, HRC - damn if you do, damn if you don't

Plus GOPers have foot in mouth syndrome.

Apparently they have no new Hillary hoax to jump on so they are in this now. The WaPo is becoming the Fox News newspaper.

The great Mohamed Ali used a similar technique, called "rope-a-dope."

Take the TPP for an example. Her history would indicate she is for it and Free Trade in general. However, the Populist Movement is making a stink about it and her competition is openly and strongly against it. What to do? Wait until it blows over and then come out and say she thinks it should have been written better. "I'm for Free Trade but only if it benefits the poor workers of the world." That's rhetoric. Free Trade and helping workers of the world are mutually exclusive.

Ali would advise Clinton to keep her head down and bob and weave a lot.
