Students using dead cats for "funny" video
Rather disgusting, but brought back a memory of our first cat who we took to the vet for his final journey. Kidney problems, advanced age and refusing to eat made the final decision. We said our good-byes and cried as the vet did the injection. We left his emaciated body at the vets with the understanding that he would be sent out for cremation and the ashes returned in a box for final burial. The box with ashes and a engraved saying arrived a few weeks later and we buried it in the back yard under the tree he loved to climb.
Then months later the vet made the news. Seems the bastard had a scheme with the place that did the cremations . He would get a two fold kick-back. First the crematorium would pay him for the animal bodies and if the grieving person requested a cremation and a box, another little bonus kick-back. He would provide bodies of cats, dogs, whatever to them who would in turn sell them to a place that sold animal bodies to schools. The "ashes" were nothing more than scrap leftovers from animals whose bodies were in too poor of a condition to sell.
After that experience, we buried all of our pets over the years .
