Liberals help Obamacare-hating conservative who’s losing his eyesight

Donations have poured in – mostly from self-professed progressives — to help an Obamacare critic receive treatment that could save his eyesight.

Luis Lang has never bought health insurance and refused to sign up for the Affordable Care Act because he believed help would be available in an emergency – but he found out the hard way that the law is a bit more complicated.

The 49-year-old Lang, a self-employed handyman and Republican, suffered a series of mini-strokes that left him with bleeding in his eyes and a partially detached retina caused by diabetes, and he will likely go blind without surgery – which he cannot afford.

He missed this year’s deadline to sign up for Obamacare, and he said he’s either too old or too young to get help from most charities – so he set up an online fundraiser to help pay for his medical care.

Almost all of the donations to his gofundme page are from self professed liberals, and folks touting the ACA. I bet he feels like the moron that he is!

"Luis, when I first read your story, I was angry with you and what I see as you and your wife's sense of entitlement, your blaming everyone and everything but yourself for what has happened to you. That said, I cannot stomach the notion of sitting idly by while a fellow human being suffers unnecessarily. I hope you get the care you need. I hope you improve your overall health to prevent what happened from occurring again. But mostly, I hope you and you wife humble yourselves and remember that when you were in need, others helped; in knowing this, I hope that you yourself recognize opportunities for you to help others. donated to all of them if not where's your basic human compassion. people are donating to him and not others, why to him when so many others are in real need for things beyond their control? he has a 300,000 dollar house there's no money there? and a wife that could get a job with benefits but doesnt.

He ought to get a $30,000 home equity loan and pay for it himself. That's why he refused to buy into Obamacare . . . said he could cover his own medical expenses.

It's about racism… If it comes from a black man, it's bad. Bad to the point that he will go bankrupt to prove it… Is this turd gonna sell his house to pay for his treatment?? Or act like the very people they are afraid of, people mooching off of the 'gubment with my tax dollars..

I have confronted many of my conservative white old geezer friends and it all eventually comes down to, they don't like the black man in the Whitehouse. They all him and haw and circle the issue but the minute someone says the "N" word their true colors comes spewing out…
