Jeb Bush Wants to Replace Obamacare With His Apple Watch

Gov. Jeb Bush hates the Affordable Care Act so much, he’d rather use the health apps on the Apple Watch instead.

“I think we should repeal Obamacare,” Bush said to a clapping crowd at Arizona’s Four Peaks Brewery. Then he pointed to his Apple Watch. “On this device in five years will be applications that will allow me to manage my healthcare in ways that, five years ago, were not even possible.”

Bush went on to describe how he believes that, in five years, his Apple Watch will be able to alert him when he’s eaten too many butterscotch sundaes, as a diabetes management tool.

"I think that we should repeal Obamacare if given the opportunity, and replace it with a consumer directed model where people are engaged in making healthcare decisions for themselves and where they're given the tools to do so."

Pointing to the Apple Watch on his own wrist, Bush spoke of the gadget as an empowering healthcare tool. Alluding to the famous Apple slogan, Bush said the device could help the country "think different" on healthcare.

"I'll have the ability, someone will, you know, because of my blood sugar... someone will send me a signal it'll come here, I'll get a double beep saying 'you just ate a butterscotch sundae or something like that. You went way over the top. You're a diabetic, you can't do that—whatever. Ultimately, we have to get to a health system, away from a disease system," he added in comments.

(or similar gadgets) could be useful tools for health management... the doofus is missing quite a bit of why we still have a medical system.

By the way doofus, you still need to do a finger prick for that glucose monitoring... and no, I do not think the watch can do that... or at least I hope not.

And I will not even go into the cost of these gadgets, or the fact that NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD THEM. or will apple just give them away?
