Bill Cosby dodges direct questions on scandal in ABC interview

Comedian Bill Cosby, accused by dozens of women of sexual assault, gave his first interview in months on Friday but evaded direct questions about the scandal that has damaged his long career.

Asked by ABC News in an interview aired on "Good Morning America" how he would answer if a young person asked him if the allegations were true, Cosby said he was "prepared to tell this young person the truth about life."

"I'm telling you where the road is out. I'm telling you where, as you're driving, you're going to go into water and it looks like it might only be three inches deep, but you and your car are going to go down," he said.

"Now you want to go here or you want to be concerned about who's giving you the message?" the 77-year-old said.

More than 40 women have accused Cosby of sexual assault, most recently writer Sammie Mays and actress Lili Bernard.

I wouldn't mind if his wife woke up from her trance and threw him out first, but she may remain neck-deep in some river till she drowns -- that's been known to happen. I feel sorriest for his daughter -- I hope she's seeing a shrink.

OTT, Bill Cosby STFU.

I'm sorry to the women he raped.

Sorry to his family.

Sorry to his fans who loved him.

When I think of the accusations it turns my stomach.

It is sickening after saying nothing for so long now it's all about the spin he can put on it. No matter what, I hope people don't forget this because at the very least it should ruin his legacy.
