man gets apology from childhood bully out of the blue

ChadMichael Morrisette, a 34-year-old with his own visual design agency in West Hollywood, was touched and inspired when he read the message on Facebook.

ChadMichael-bully-apologyThe message was from Louie Amundson, whose name didn’t ring a bell, but Morrisette figured he was one of the members of the football team who picked on him for being gay.

“The entire football team bullied me,” Morrisette, who grew up in a small town in Alaska, shared with Yahoo Parenting. “It wasn’t one guy, it was six or seven guys who would follow me in the hallways, harassing me, insulting me, threatening my life.”

Morrisette shared a screen capture of Amundson’s letter on Facebook along with a message:

You shouldn't. I bet everyone who was bullied regularly can easily name their bullies. pnwmom May 2015 #6

Not holding my breath, but between the centrists-vs-progressives, everyone else-vs-southerners, atheists and Christians vs. Muslims... one can dream that maybe someone somewhere feels a tinge of regret.

But I have gotten two FB friend requests from people where I thought "WTF?, I am not accepting this request unless it comes with an apology."

I wouldn't say they were bullies to me, but our interaction was not positive and I definitely felt like they disrespected me.

Now my classmate's wife, she was a bully to me. Always picking on me at the band events when I was in 5th grade and she in 6th.

Anyone who remembers targeting other kids with bullying should be aware of that.

And an apology would never be too late!

Maybe the difference is that a liberal adult would be more likely to be reflective later on and even apologize.

Mr. Amundson - well, I'd have to know more about him to know if he has really changed
