University at Albany sociology student Frankie Houghtaling of Colonie got a surprise Saturday when the school's mascot revealed himself to be his father, 1st Lt. Frank Houghtaling, who secretly returned from duty in Cuba to attend his son's graduation during the University at Albany Sociology Undergrad Graduation Recognition Ceremony.
