Funny - I just posted in the O'Malley group that I think it's going to get a lot more reasonable (manageable?) in GD when O'Malley and Webb announce. Right now there is a laser focus on two candidates and that's creating some of the conflict - that laser focus.

What I'm hoping for is solid activism and ideas we can exchange about the candidates. Eventually - someone is going to win the nomination - and we are all going to spend the summer and early fall of 2016 gotv for a Democratic Candidate.

So I'm focusing on the positives of Clinton and Sanders right now. If one of them wins - I will need to be prepared next year!

Good question though.

I want to bookmark this thread though - if Clinton Wins - and she picks O'Malley for V.P. - what will her supporters say. A great compare and contrast.

Here's the thing - I don't think they will throw themselves on the ground and refuse to vote for her. I don't. I just don't.

People will be posting in GD, but I do strongly suggest that anyone wanting to learn about him visit the group.

There are a lot of informational threads there, many pinned for just such a purpose.

Read the SoP over there, and you ail see why the group exists.

Low post count (for members or groups on DU) does't mean there is a lack of quality information.

They run the same talking points over and over about Hillary and they don't seen to think Hillary is left enough and I'Malley is further right than Hillary is. In fact O'Malley and Webb are rated as moderates.

I love how everything here is equated in some way to Hillary. Around 90% of active posters have said they are voting for Sanders. So, what is your concern? What are an extreme minority here going to say when he announces? Funny thing is that you already know the answer. Same thing as when Sanders entered. Hillary supporters will overwhelmingly welcome him into the race. It takes and impressive level of mental gymnastics to even attempt to make the claim Hillary supporters at du overwhelmingly dismissed Sanders. Most of them cheered.

*** Xposted from this link. ***

(and he will) — I really believe that the Democratic Primary will get very interesting.

Right now, when we look/listen to the MSM, it seems as though all eyes are on SoS/Senator Clinton.

Senator Sanders is getting very little attention. I believe that with O'Malley entering the race people will start to pay attention to the fact that the Dems are actually going to have a real primary. They will stop focusing on Hillary Clinton all day every day and will have to pay attention to the candidates that are running for office.

I think it is a good thing for all Dems. I think it will be a good thing for the O'Malley campaign. 14 days, and the race for the democratic nominee begins.
