These are the 13 “Democratic” Senators who voted to rush through TPA

Senators voted 62-38 to give Obama a major victory and set up a speedy decision on the "fast-track" trade negotiating authority the president needs to complete the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal. TPP is seen as central to U.S. efforts to counter China's increasing economic muscle.

Thirteen of 44 Democrats supported the legislation through the second Senate vote...read:

there were secret deals being made and Congress was not allowed to participate. I have HIM to thank for getting my attention to the TPP.

I wonder what happened to him? I believe he owes us an explanation for becoming a turn coat.

something other than his record. DU does not really pay attention to those details around trade but he's always a yes vote. Always. This time he heard long and strong from those of us who pay attention so I assume he does not expect to be elected again.

He sees the state edging more right every election and is scared. Let's see what happens now. Politics is all a risk.

even though it probably won't pass, next time so we morons out here forget this vote.

Few surprises there though. But Ron Wyden, the man who has been warning us for years about the TPP. What did they do the old Ron Wyden?

Most are Corporate Dems. We should take a look at their funding.

The Democrats who voted Yes and are up in 2016 are Michael Bennett (CO), Patty Murray (WA) and Ron Wyden (OR) - interestingly, FWIW, all Westerners.

Of the 5 republicans who voted against fast track, 3 of them - Mike Lee (UT), Rand Paul (KY) and Richard Shelby (AL) - are up for reelection in 2016. Of course, Paul is running for the GOP presidential nomination.

If the 1%ers had needed a few more Dem votes,
they could/would have gotten them with one phone call.
There are ALWAYS just enough Democratic Turncoats to advance the agenda of the RICH.

I have a problem with our "Democratic" president LEADING the Republicans on such an important economic issue.

Richard Blum - recently caught profiteering in his govt. contracted management of Post Office properties. Also involved in shady dealings as a Regent of the University of California: as financial controller he manipulted vast assets to benefit himself. At the same time he invested in online education ventures. Someone really needs to write the book on how his political access through Dianne undercut public infrastructure for the sake of his privateering. And now his Super Rich maneuvers may have gone global!

If I understand what little I know about the Senate, the result was going to be 62-38 or 61-39 regardless, it's mainly a question of which team players needed to bring home the blue-flavored bacon for their perceived constituents. I mean, OK, maybe it's really like TV and there's a guy whipping votes up until the midnight hour, but I feel like there's a permanent middle-way caucus that basically writes all the laws, and the Sanders-es and his reactionary counterparts can choose to appear however they want to appear without upsetting the natural order.

What does this tell you?

Work to elect school board members and city council members and just accept our reality in DC politics.

Always vote, always vote for the least destructive, i.e. Democrat, but accept your reality and work locally.

Is that what it tells us?

I will no longer support or vote for DINOs. That includes Patrick Murphy, who just switched to Democrat in 2011 or so. Not because he had any sort of epiphany, but because he wanted to replace Allen West. And people whine about Liz Warren switching to Democrat 20 years ago, but then swear that Murphy is a liberal Dem. No he is one of those NEW Dems, eager to work with the GOP, which, of course, means basically agreeing with the GOP. He wants to run for Rubio's seat.
