I don't care how thick or stupid you are, you'd remember something like that.

Mea Culpa: I was a big strong kid from early grade school on. Played multiple sports and hung around with kids that did the same. In middle school there was a boy classmate that was slightly built, not athletic, and he had a pretty sarcastic personality so he used to get hassled a lot. One day myself and some others took things too far and caused him some great humiliation. Nothing physically damaging, but I'm sure it caused him a great deal of physiological trauma. We got in a small amount of trouble for it, had to apologize, but nothing serious. It did stay in my mind though, and years later when I ran into him at a High School reunion I pulled him aside and apologized as an adult and asked him to forgive me for bullying him.

I tell this story not to unburden myself, I have already made peace with my bullying victim, but to say that even after acknowledging the wrong and apologizing for it, I still remember it because you see the act traumatized me too. It's an anti-social human behavior to bully others, and I believe that anyone who ever acted in such a way would have it imprinted upon them too. I never bullied anyone after that incident and have defended others when I saw them being bullied.

For Mitt Romney to say that he doesn't remember it absurd and an out right lie. He remembers it, how could he not? Telling somebody they have a stupid haircut is a form of bullying, but it comes nowhere near the trauma factor of holding someone down against their will and cutting their hair as the cry for help. If he was able to block that out of his memory, he's more than a liar and a bully, he's a psychopathic monster.

When I was in high school I blew up a rubber like a balloon and left it on my older brothers bed, pissed him off because it ran out of air and he thought I screwed someone on his bed!

You don't forget stuff you do that is wrong or teasing...especially a big thing like cutting someone's hair because they are gay. He is a liar!

He says he likes to fire people
He puts a dog on the roof, knows the dog is troubled and still leaves the dog there
He claims he saved the auto industry
Poses for pictures with his buddies with money spilling out of their pockets
Compares his boys working to elect him to office with military service
Tells students to borrow money from their parents to start a business
Talks about his wife's many cars
Says he understands unemployment because he is also unemployed as he collects $21 million
Says he saved the Olympics as he collects billions from us in subsidies

and list can be added to

And I've had limited access to knowledge of his activities. How in the hell could a man get that far in life and in a political career without getting shut down? Is he that good at covering up his psychosis? I suppose money buys a lot of averted eyes.

He is just dead inside. He's perfectly rational. He just has to try to fake feelings. That's why he always seems to be "off" in public like when he visits coffee shops and has to talk to real people. His reactions aren't real. He laughs at the wrong time. He has to pretend to like people. He says weird things. There's just nothing inside him.

necessarily. He thinks and plans. He knows right from wrong perfectly well. There are no voices in his head telling him to do the wrong thing. He simply does not care and he knows he does not care. He also knows he should care.

will consider fashioning it into an OP of sorts. Your last sentence is the killer, imo, as much for what it does not say as for what it does. Devastating.

And props to you for apologizing to the person you hurt later in life. I'm glad he went to the reunion, though. Can you imagine if you never had a chance to apologize? That would've been horrible, it would still weigh on you. I'm glad you moved on from that anti-social behavior. It makes me happy. Some bullies never realize that they were being assholes when they were youths, imho. But you did so I really respect that to no ends.

I'm glad you see that Romney is "a psychopathic monster." For me, I never was a bully (though I only attended 3 years of public school, was home schooled the rest of my life), but I always, always defended people who were bullied, to the point of getting a bloody nose, and my parents paranoidly moving the entire family after the resolution (I remember once being beat up for defending someone and we moved and then I became "home schooled," it was weird). I still wish we weren't moved that time and I being subjected to public school because those kids loved me for defending the kid, and the bullies were just idiots and I still think I could've made a difference... I was really popular from beating up a 5th grader while being in the 2nd grade. It was cool. Anyway, random comment, really.
