A Spanish woman claiming ownership of the sun was given the right to take eBay to court over the companys refusal to allow her to sell land on it.
Maria Angeles Duran, who, according to the International Business Times, claimed ownership of the sun in 2010, was allowed by the magistrates court in Madrid to take the case to trial. Duran intended to sell plots of land on the star for a little more than $1 USD per meter square.
Spanish newspaper La Voz de Galacia said the trial will happen in mid-July.
There was no snag, I backed my claim legally, I am not stupid, I know the law, she told the Daily Mail in 2010. I did it but anyone else could have done it, it simply occurred to me first. She said since 2013, she received 600 orders from her eBay sales page, which was later pulled by the company.

(28,498 posts)Make it a public utility and charge the world's population for using it! You know, like gas or electricity. Then, when we all get behind with our payments, shut it off! You know, like gas or electricity.
And charge us a fee to have it turned back on again.
You got it "made in the shade."

I'd recommend going at night. Daytime temps can be uncomfortable!
