During a police raid on an unpermitted medical marijuana dispensary late last month, members of the Santa Ana Police Department were caught on film committing a number of highly questionable actions, reports KTLA-TV.
Not to be outdone by Texas Police’s barrel-rolling hijinx at a teenage pool party earlier in June, members of Santa Ana’s finest were filmed berating a disabled patient, playing darts, and even munching on the shop’s selection of marijuana-laced edibles.
The incident occurred at a dispensary called Sky High Holistic, where surveillance cameras caught the officers sharing the shop’s edibles with each other while discussing the flavors. One officer is consistently playing darts throughout the investigation, while at another point a female officer mocks a disabled patient involved in the raid.
“I was about to kick her in her f—ing nub,” the officer later says of a customer with an amputated leg in a wheelchair.
The video was edited and released to news outlets by attorney Matthew Pappas, who plans to file a lawsuit on behalf of Marla James — the patient with the amputated leg — by alleging gross misconduct on behalf of the officers during the raid.
