(45,251 posts)The First Lady is so much more than visuals, but I do enjoy that dress.
*Jackpine Radical would have so easily topped those two puns.

(116,210 posts)She always looks good, but often wears belts that make her look really short-waisted. This dress is just strange.

I do like Sasha and Malia's dresses

(45,251 posts)If so, I don't like that bit. It seems so because it seems they are dressed as a family--black, blue and yellow being the themes.
WorseBeforeBetter
(11,441 posts)And would probably like the yellow and (cornflower?) blue a bit better if they were more muted. She looks great though -- strong, happy, healthy. The girls looks great, too.

(45,251 posts)before I saw the black back, which seems one step too far.
From the front, it seems like a very comfortable cotton travel dress referencing something dressier with a sense of play, like a much more fashionable version of a cute T shirt that has a tuxedo printed on it.

The Velveteen Ocelot
(116,210 posts)is a little odd and not terribly flattering constitutes a negative attitude toward the president? Speaking only for myself, I like the president and I like the First Lady. I usually like her clothes, too. Just not this particular dress. That's not a slam on the president.

(813 posts)in that dress! Great colors for her. I've never seen a "bad" out fit on her. The color scheme with the girls and her mom is great. She is a powerhouse!

Proud to call them the First Family!!
Glad they are having these experiences.

(22,336 posts)I like the girls' dresses too. Lovely!
There's some joke here where I could call it a black and white dress (if you remember the blue/black or gold/white dress thing) but it's too late for me to think of how to put it together.

(24,544 posts)Too cute that the girls had tea with Prince Harry. Those girls would totally up that family's class and cool factor considerably.

(3,580 posts)That is not why I like her but its refreshing to see someone in her position with a handle on current fashion. I like Kate Middleton's style sense for the same reason. Nothing stuffy and very relateable.
The girls are trend setters as well.
I like the way they mix pattern and color. I went shopping today and while I did consider my age and physical attributes I choose some vibrant patterns for a change in small doses.
I adore Michelle. I wish she was my neighbor.

(81,746 posts)can carry off lots of different fashions. Love the earrings!
And the girls! Reminded me of Julia Roberts in this movie "Dying Young." In one scene, there were several shots of her from the legs up as she walked up the street, making her look very coltish. Such long slim legs. Sasha and Malia look like that. Those long long legs. When did they grow up??? Long-stemmed American Beauties they are.
Very proud of those girls. They're so graceful.

(101,482 posts)Before it was renamed in 2003, Harrods Aviation had been known as Metro Business Aviation. The change of name reflected a renewed commitment to Harrods exceptional standards and its intention to place itself among the FBOs favoured by the global elite.
Since then, Harrods Aviation has enjoyed significant success at its London Luton and London Stansted FBOs, and Farnborough engine shop. Demand for the London Luton FBO in particular grew during the first decade of the 21st century, prompting the company to construct a second hangar and ramp in 2005, and to relocate the facility to its current expanded site and ramp space in 2008.
In May 2010 Harrods Aviation was sold to Qatar Holding as part of the general Harrods Group sale, and in May 2013 both London FBO facilities joined the Air Elite Network a global body of exceptional FBOs.

(31,474 posts)Mostly, I enjoy her sense of style and adventurous choices, but
this one doesn't do it for me.
There was a blog http://mrs-o.com/ which chronicled her fashion choices,
but the woman who ran it stopped doing so in early 2014. It is a great archive.
Runningdawg
(4,533 posts)and has fantastic taste. However, like most beautiful/tasteful women, she makes the occasional mistake. This was one of them. This dress looks like a reject from some reality design show. The lace looks cheap and the belt and shoes are a disaster.

(12,169 posts)I don't like it is that with the black in the back, the front looks like an apron, and I saw enough women in aprons in the 50s. They were everywhere.
