Quote of the Day: We Republicans Dont Have a Lot of Songs to Choose FromAint it the truth
Charles Johnson
POLITICS Mon May 14, 2012 at 12:29 pm PDT
When Wisconsin GOP Senate Candidate Jeff Fitzgerald decided to use a song by the Dropkick Murphys as walk-on music, the band was not amused.
The stupidity and irony of this is laughable, the band wrote. A Wisconsin Republican U.S. Senate candidate - and crony of anti-Union Governor Scott Walker - using a Dropkick Murphys song as an intro is like a white supremacist coming out to gangsta rap!
This complaint led Fitzgerald to utter todays quote of the day:
I like their music, and thats the song from The Departed. I always liked the beginning of that song. My last name is Fitzgerald, he said. We Republicans dont have a lot of songs we can choose from.

(1,587 posts)4. Yep, Toby's a Dem. He does however
try to appeal to the lowest common denominator and that denominator is loaded heavily with republicans.
So, I don't think he wants it well known that he is a Democrat.
