I don't know about the biased sample stuff...maybe it's true...I'm no polling expert, but I just don't buy the results. Romney up 46-43, and leading with women?? Seriously. Obama had a double digit lead what, a couple of weeks ago, and now suddenly Romney's pulled even and a little ahead of him? I guess women love his plans to gut Planned Parenthood, is that it?And the other poll saying people prefer Romney by nine points or whatever on the economy?
Why? Why all of the sudden?
My tinfoil hat theory is that the MSM has grown weary with the consistency with which Obama beats Romney in the polls. People are bored with that, they tune it out. Not watching their cable news talking heads discuss it, not reading their newspaper stories about it. Maybe if we throw out a few outliers people will start to pay attention again...buy our papers, watch our shows.
Maybe I'm just bitter at the sheer stupidity of people who would actually prefer Mitt "Richie Rich" Romney to Barack Obama in any poll. Ever.
Grrr...

(14,337 posts)everything I have seen shows women are more in support of marriage equality than men. Jobs? If a woman cannot control her own fertility, she cannot, and won't be hired, if there are a million jobs.

(3,112 posts)Ratings....and readership. Higher ones for CBS and for the NYT by putting out an outlier like this and saying hey look over here everybody....it's not Obama beats Romney after all!

(111,110 posts)I think it was on Scarborough or Bill Press? But the report was that the poll was weighted toward the Democrats by 36% to 30%. So the remaining 34% was "independent"? How were they weighted? That is a questionable poll, in my opinion.
