(15,392 posts)June 26 is also when the Supreme Court handed down decisions on DOMA in 2013 as we as a 2003 ruling against a Texas law that made sex between the same gender illegal.

(99,716 posts)Counsel, I'm not sure it's necessary to get into sexual orientation to resolve the case. I mean, if Sue loves Joe and Tom loves Joe, Sue can marry him and Tom can't. And the difference is based upon their different sex. Why isnt that a straightforward question of sexual discrimination?

(21,642 posts)I don't think it represents their feelings on the subject but I think when you look at how the wind is blowing, well, it is a full force hurricane now for equality and with little chance of it not passing, why stand on the wrong side of this historic vote?
That being said, the three of them are pretty fucking stupid, especially scalia and Thomas... if one breaks I would guess maybe alito.
