Cady way murders of two high school kids (WP, FL)

I don't know how to make sense of what the two boys did that eventually led to their death. Not only were they stealing cars, but they were stealing guns they found in the cars. It was in an attempt to sell those guns that they met up with two men who apparently used the guns to kill them.

Worse, a friend who knows WP high school kids said that the two kids were role models.

Two guns stolen from neighborhoods near the Cady Way Trail have been linked to the slayings of two Winter Park High School students.

Orange County Sheriff's records show a .40 caliber Glock 27 and .32 caliber Walther semiautomatic pistol were stolen during separate vehicle burglaries in February and April. Officers now believe 18-year-old Jeremy Stewart and 16-year-old Nicholas Presha stole the guns

On April 15, one of those guns was used to kill the teens on the bank of a canal on the Cady Way Trail.

Deputies say Jesse Davis, 30, and Hector Rodriguez, 31, are responsible for killing the teens after meeting them to purchase the stolen weapons. Instead, the men planned to rob the teens and then shot them with at least one of the stolen guns, deputies said.

It'll do you a lot of good there. Maybe they should keep their guns under their pillows. Or even better, locked up.

The 2nd Amendment is the least important of our Constitutional Rights. It deserves the least protection.
