Moved to CA in the 80's but I was pleased to see that Montgomery County is still blue in many ways.

I was so sick of hearing people say their hands were tied because it was the law. Well, now what excuse will they have?

Probate judge in my county here in Ala. refuses to do ANY marriages.

If you are non-religious, you cannot marry in our county, because civil marriages by Probate Court will no longer be done.
Straight or gay, does not matter.
You CAN get a marriage license still, but have to go to one of the cities to find a judge who will marry you,
or one of the few religious folks who will.

Not ever county judge in Ala. is refusing, but some are, in the more conservative areas.
