2. You see folks it's really all about timing

Sure their was a 0 that we were ignoring, those "space holders" we're created by Arabs you know, and time zone but that's not what's important here my friends. What's important is that we flooded all your news sources with the story for hours before the Grand Poobah sort of kinda walked it back. That was on so late in his broadcast that you were nodding off thinking about the last blonde you saw on O'Reiily's show.

4. Yes, in this case my CAPTION should have been Fox's

use of unconsidered information, not Hannity trying to tie Obama to it. That made the CAPTION "bleary," with two objects. The first (as you have it and as I should have had it) is that when something fits their general scenario or narrative, they'll be so eager to embrace some errant information that they will not even think to check it. For this, they are open to direct and scathing satire concerning the current reporting. This would have made a fine CAPTION!

The second is Hannity's (and others') desire to tie Obama to everything. For that they're open to satire but not because of the current case. The second would have made a decent little CAPTION on its own, but putting them both together bleared the edge, made people think "that's not fair" since the current incident had be established already.

There's a lot in satire and humor. A lot to think about. But I write these things without so much logical thought as with my comic heart. It's just that when you think about it . . .

(By the way, to know comes from the Arabic medieval philosophers and mathematicians, confirms what I've already long known.)
