Obama campaign sending DC volunteers to Virginia to register voters

President Obama's reelection campaign is rounding up volunteers in D.C. on Saturday and sending them across the Potomac to Virginia to register voters.

"Flash forward to November 6th," Marlon Marshall, an Obama campaign field director, wrote in an email to supporters Friday. "Some people you know just didn't make it to the polls. Either they didn't register in time or they didn't know what was at stake. That could mean victory or defeat. And it's in your hands."

The campaign is rallying District residents to the Democratic National Committee's headquarters in Southeast D.C. at 10 a.m. to "travel together to the key battleground state of Virginia to register voters and talk with people one-one-one about the clear choice in this election," Marshall said.
