Looking Back: My Picks For Lewis Black's 5 Best Daily Show Segments

With the Daily Show With Jon Stewart ending this week, you can't help but think of some of the greatest contributors to the show - whether it's Rob Riggle, John Oliver, Steve Carrell, Samantha Bee, Stephen Colbert, or Larry Willmore, but with all those awesome contributors, there's very few who have had quite the impact that Lewis Black has had. His Back In Black segments are truly genius and magical, and kept most of us from going crazy during the height of the George W. Bush era. Lewis Black, arguably the greatest comedian working today, and known for being the angry Jewish guy (hence why he was cast as Anger in Pixar's recent Inside Out flick). So with that in mind here are his five best segments. The videos will be found at the link. It's nearly impossible to pick just five from Lewis Black's 300+ Daily Show segments, but here are the true standouts.
1. Glenn Beck's Nazi Tourettes
How could this not be number one? At the height of Glenn Beck comparing literally everything about the Obama administration to Nazi Germany, Black eviscerates Glenn Beck's insanity and over use of the Nazi card. He also tears into Beck's program at the height of his powers and destroys nearly every single thing about it. It was so dead on that it got mention on nearly every left wing blog and media outlet.

2. Don't Mess With Texas? No, Don't Fuck With New York!
When idiotic Texas governor Rick Perry, the guy who couldn't name three branches of government that he wanted to cut, made videos urging businesses not to establish in high tax rate states like New York and California, Lewis Black fired back and completely annihilated Rick Perry's strategy. The result is magical.

3. Donald Trump For President
Lewis predicted it - Donald Trump is the one politician who's not afraid to tell the truth about the fact that he's a lying asshole. But who could have predicted Trump's insane racist rant in his campaign announcement a few weeks ago? It's certainly been entertaining to say the least.

4. Meat
One of the better non political segments that Lewis Black did centered around America's meat consumption. It started with news about Taco Bell losing a lawsuit claiming that Taco Bell's ground beef was not up to the USDA's quality standards. Also witness some of the more insane foods coming to America's minor league ball parks.

5. New Media
Lewis Black predicted that when Rupert Murdoch was buying the Wall Street Journal, that it would devolve from reporting business news to being a trashy celebrity tabloid. He also attacks some of the other parts of Rupert Murdoch's empire, and conservatives whining about how the media doesn't support them.
