At the end of the day any used books that did not find a new owner ended up going to the mulcher.
She watched intently all day long to see if a particular set of books piqued anyone's interest.
But no. Not a single person showed any interest in these books, despite the attractive slender blond decorating the covers.
At the end of the day, she watched with amusement as every single Anne Coulter book went into the mulcher to be composted.
I hope the earthworms don't get indigestion.

OK, here's a good business op - I don't see any entries for "worm composting coffin" in Google.

(90,674 posts)...whoever makes coffins for Orthodox Jews. They are simple pine boxes and iirc from my late father in law's funeral, there are holes drilled in the bottom. The body is being returned to the Earth, not preserved in a hermetically sealed environment like an Egyptian mummy.
Plan ahead!

When our Borders was going out of business, there was a table piled high with Palin books. They could not get rid of them, even for a dollar.
So much for best selling author.

And let that pine to aggravate thy store;
Buy terms divine in selling hours of dross;
Within be fed, without be rich no more:
So shall thou feed on Death, that feeds on men,
And Death once dead, there's no more dying then.

(32,723 posts)Big old paper grocery bags hold a LOT of books but the stuff from Limbaugh remained.
The ONLY way these books sell is from bulk sales. A right-wing publisher sells by the case to a right-wing distributor to try to get on the NYT Bestseller List. Then places like Newsmax or WND offer the books free if you pay for your bubble world.

Decomposition does have a cathartic effect in this particular instance. Perhaps something good and pure can sprout from the compost of of an Anne Coulter book? Stranger things have happened in this world!

Then the name of the author rings a big bell with a very happy sound in my head...Anne Coulter.
The books were glad to be mulched to do some good and hide their shame.
Thank your wife for us.

(42,553 posts)a plethora of Ann Coulter, Sarah Palin, and various other RW books out on the tables. A few were weeded from the library collection, as mentioned by a retired librarian above, but I'd say the majority of them came from donations the library system collects throughout the year. People around here know that they can donate all the books they no longer want to the library and they will either add them to the collection (rarely), sell them at the book sale (mostly), or dispose of them properly (frequently).

Oh, wait. You mean you think the scrawny, skeleton faced bitch is an "attractive slender blond." I can recommend a good eye surgeon.

(43,890 posts)Is because neocons love a pretty blond that talks dirty.
To deny her beauty is to lose credibility; to attack her for being a woman.
Her flaws are not with her physique. They are with her thoughts, politics, and words.
