Lots of handwringing by Joe Scar on Morning Joe today...

he and some panel members were bemoaning the fact that the repubs currently in the race haven't learned a damn thing after the last presidential election. Two examples Joe singled out were immigration (specifically birthright citizenship but also trying to throw out "illegals&quot and abortion (specifically, Huckabee's "no exception for rape, incest and life of the woman&quot and how that will go down with Republican women.

Duh, yeah Joe...

Clinton went to a Trump wedding, you say? Beside being an obvious HUGE scandal, so fucking what?

... I just noted that it's hard to say Trump is a "loser" when all he really wants is publicity and attention - and he'll get - is getting, actually - plenty of that regardless of the primary/general election results. The fact that he's trampling the repubs and the MSM underfoot??? He doesn't give a shit! "They shouldda stayed out from under my feet"

I've said before that Trump doesn't really want the job. It's too hard and requires to many hours. The Prez can't delegate things quite the way a mogul can, and when you do something stupid/rash/asinine (like Trump does every day), there are real world consequences besides a big lawyer fee bill and possibly another bankruptcy. I think he is smart enough to know that.

But I do think his poll number have even surprised him. I think he wanted to get in the race for some publicity ... and then - WTF? - he started winning, and winning BIG. And it's because he's acting like Trump. So he upped the Trump. MORE Trump! It's like cowbell now. And the show keeps getting more and more outrageous, and he continues to clobber the other "contestants". This is Trump's nirvana!

Golf at a Trump resort? Buy a Trump condo.. Not if the club paid me the green fees and the condo came with a helicopter.....and I am not alone at all in thinking exactly that.

"Trump" may be the cat's meow among the Troll hunting media and the insane GOP Fox brainwashed electorate of BizzaroWorld, but in the real world where so many real, not racists and bigoted and hateful folk live, that name is now mud.

as well as pretend surprise...it is political fictional drama 7 days a week, minute by minute scripted political soap opera as tightly written and planned as As The World Turns.

When you get around to believing that is true, it is all a massive media scam, sure it takes all the fun out of the never ending storyline - which is why I think so many will never get around to believing that.

Then, on Friday, July 20th, the body of Lori Klausutis, 28, was found slumped next to a desk on the floor of Florida Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough's Fort Walton Beach office where Lori had served as a constituent services coordinator since May, 1999. Her body was found around 8:00 a.m. on Friday morning by a couple arriving for an appointment. She had been dead for some time. A second employee, who would have normally arrived for work at around the same time, was away on vacation. Police cordoned off the area for investigation, later announcing that there was no reason to suspect foul play, nor were there signs of suicide.

I used to trivialize the valid and sincere concerns of other people too. It certainly allowed me to think myself much more clever than was actually warranted.

But sooner or later, we all grow up into adults and are forced realize our petulant behaviors merely advertises those biases we publicly deny.

However, I'm quite certain that your sentiment is quite sincere, and that you are heavily invested in maintaining prison rape memes for whatever reason you justify to yourself, if not to others.

I totally agree that we all must be cognizant of the meaning of the remarks we make. YOU TOO. It is actually possible to be a caring, loving human being and still make jokes. That's why we call them "jokes" and not "The Bible."

I don't want anyone to be subjected to prison rape. I don't want anyone of any race, gender, whatever, to be subjected to rape. But I am a writer and I like words. "Bitch" is not a problem with me. It means so many different things, I don't like a subset of DU telling me I can't use the term because someone doesn't like it.

Republican mother fuckers are all radical, now, in order to whip up their base and get primary voters at the base engaged. That rhetoric will tone down after they have a nominee in order to draw votes from independent voters. If that "moderation" gets them in office, then they'll revert back to being hardliners and go for their extreme agenda.
