Michael Savage: 'Extreme Diets' Of Liberals Are 'Creating A Vast Epidemic Of Mental Deficiency'
Submitted by Brian Tashman on Tuesday, 8/18/2015 11:25 am
Last week, right-wing talk show host Michael Savage blamed the recent demonstrations in Ferguson, Missouri, on George Soros, who he claims is trying to bring down the U.S. in order to make money. Savage elaborated on the point when a caller insisted that Soros has developed a mental disorder, telling the caller that he could prove that liberalism is in fact a mental disorder. I think I have the evidence now in forms of the diets they put themselves on, he said. Its creating a vast epidemic of mental deficiency. Savage went on to say that liberals are either vegans or paleo diet enthusiasts and are, as a result, deficient in carbohydrates, inhibiting the function of their brains. These extreme diets, Savage said, have "produced an entire generation of mental incompetence.

(19,537 posts)Maybe that helps us have more mental capacity, where mentally deficient individuals like him and his customers are the ones that become mentally deficient due to drinking that crap!

(3,829 posts)The authors describe the history of homeopathy and offer illuminating case studies, specific remedies, and practical applications. Increasingly, the scientific and medical communities are accepting homeopathy as a legitimate complementary therapy--and this book stands as the most professional, up-to-date guide on the practice currently available.
First comment:
If you have heard The Savage Nation and possibly listened to one of Dr. Savage's lecturettes on his knowledge of herbal medicine, modern medicine, nutrition, and homeopathy, this is a "must-own" book. I believe it is one of the easier to find, and is chock full of useful information; and, it definitely proves that much of this knowledge was around quite some time ago. If for no other reason, it belongs in your collection next to The Savage Nation, The Enemy Within, and LIberalism is a Mental Disorder, to show that you CAN go from scientific writing to off-the-cuff NYT Bestseller status. All it takes is a little time, and a lot of living..
Yes, I sure want to take health advice from him.

(65,058 posts)I'm too jaded to worry about what i eat. Something's going to kill me anyway. I am quite sure that his diet and my diet are hardly distinguishable. But, one of us is mentally ill, and the other is a highly educated liberal.
I'll let you figure out which is which.

Anyway, I think Savage is another full-of-shit showman. Like a lot of these guys, I question whether he actually believes the crap he spews, or if he's just found an extremely lucrative niche that doesn't require a ton of mental energy, namely, spreading toxic low-valence hate over AM radio.
He is a nasty piece of work, though, genuine or not.

(1,587 posts)And even if it did, you get more than enough eating meat and vegetables.
When I am able to eat a reduced-carb diet, I am physically and mentally much more healthy. I have more energy, less joint pain, and a personality so chipper I make Katy Couric look suicidal.
I don't do paleo, too little fat, too much grains for me.
