Fresh off his confrontation with Fox News' Megyn Kelly, Donald Trump is now lashing out at Fox News pollster Frank Luntz over the focus group following the first Republican presidential debate.
The participants in Luntz's focus group bashed the real estate mogul's performance and called Trump "mean" and "bombastic." Trump was quick to criticize the focus group, calling Luntz a "clown" and a "low class slob" on Twitter.
Before the debate, Luntz allegedly told attendees at a South Carolina fundraiser that Trump is "addicted" to attention and could hurt the Republican Party, according to Politico.
Luntz would not address the comments he made in South Carolina with Politico on Monday. But he said that Trump taps into the fears of Republican voters without providing solutions. He told Politico that Trump is "delivering a big F you to the elites in America."
"And that resonates on both sides, Luntz said. But F you doesnt solve anything. F you doesnt make life any better. F you makes you feel good, but it doesnt get you where you need to go. F you doesnt make America strong. F you doesnt solve anything.

(27,689 posts)Luntz is a partisan hack. His focus groups are push polling at their best. Works for me if Donald takes him down a notch or two.

(45,470 posts)A total propagandist for the GOP. He gives lies about Democrats the patina of "science and legitimacy" Won't be shedding any tears for him. If Trump is able to damage Luntz's brand and credibitility I am all for it.

(2,681 posts)First off, I always thought he was creepy, I would want to leave him alone with my daughters. Next, the so called "focus groups" are totally made up of shills who parrot anything that Fox news wants them to say. Fox News and R. Murdoch were brilliant by spending all the years on spouting right wing rhetoric and building their audience. They are now in total control of the Republican party.

(21,609 posts)FOX news is so insular they have no defense mechanism in place for when GOP voters ignore them. It's as if they have a huge viewership who have been waiting decades to tell FOX news hosts to F' off.

(21,925 posts)I'd rather associate with the thing that lives on the Donald's head. I watched Luntz and his focus group after the Fox channel debate. Luntz asked for a show of hands as to whether Trump lost or won. Some of his group raised their hands in favor of Trump. Those people were never heard from again the rest of the night. Meanwhile Luntz framed every focus group question to elicit disfavor for Trump. And the focus group intertwined with appearances by Charles Krauthamer who said Trump lost. It was the construction of a storyline for dramatic effect on the audience. Reich Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels would have nodded his approval.
