Anthony Harris, owner of SEVEN on Second, an eclectic local art store in Macon, is flying a Kreigsmarine flag on the flagpole outside of his store ... “I just want people to realize that it’s a flag” ... Harris wrote on Facebook:

... I do expect this flag to cause an uproar. If you are one of those that feels the need to vent your anger keep in mind that the swastika was originally a Hindu symbol that meant “Good luck” ...

Last week, the store featured a Confederate battle flag ...

several miles outside of town. My crew and I used to go into town a few times a week to eat lunch at a Chinese Buffet there.. until they closed it down after finding animal carcasses in the dumpsters! I don't EVEN want to know what we were really eating!

Anyhoo, the best part of Macon that I found was being able to visit the Rose Hill Cemetery and visit the graves of Duane Allman and Berry Oakley. It was quite the experience for me, being a fan of their music since the late 60's/early 70's. It was amazing to see the big cement vase at the foot of the graves almost filled with joints, roaches, guitar picks and Harley patches.

I remember the big fight when his sister tried to have a fence put around the grave to keep people away... and she lost. I have a few pictures still. I tried to get one with the words etched into the cover stone on Duane's grave, but it didn't show up where you could make it out.

I know I'm off topic, but that visit... and the HEAT from that job, are really the two memories I have of Macon.

Peace,

Ghost
