and divert half the cut infrastructure and half to paying down the debt. Then keep cutting until it reaches 1.5% of GDP and lock it there with a constitutional amendment that only allows greater spending during a Congressionaly declared war.

While we are at it, lock government salaries to multiples of the minimum wage. The president gets 10x, the congress gets 5x, etc. If Joe Main Street is struggling on $20,000 a year, why should the Koch brother's pet senator get $175,000 a year?

Not exactly popular with anyone and the president wants to stop sequestration. Cutting defense has been tried and nobody liked it in clouding both parties. How can you cut more of something that has been tried already?
