Bill Kristol on Morning Joe...WMD

Unbelievable...

Bill Kristol said something to the effect that the argument that Bush led us into war knowing that there were no WMD is ridiculous. That..."Bush would have never taken us to war if he knew that there were no weapons of mass destruction."

This is such bullshit!. I am constantly amazed on how seemingly intelligent people can be so stupid.

Paige

One Edit:. When he said this... Not a single word from anyone else on the panel... Morning Joe is no different from any other Conservative cable "news" program.

He's just following neocon standard procedure: Brazen it out and concede nothing.

They in general -- and Kristol in particular -- are arrogant bastards who are true believer in the notion that they're smarter and more knowledgable than everyone else put together, and untouchable enough to never be forced to deal with he reality that tey're anything but.

since he's always wrong on EVERYTHING — including this statement about W.

Here he's just lying through his teeth with the repug/neocon party line. He's never going to admit that W and the rest of them (the signees of the Project for the New American Century) were all wrong about WMDs and Iraq in general.

He has no credibility IMO.

I remember back in the day he was on one of those weekly pundit shows along with other conservatards and the one 'liberal' who they all talked over, and Kristol was always smug and arrogant with a smirk on his face but he was always spectacularly and glaringly WRONG.

That makes a historic terror-attack on US-soil, 2 prolonged wars and a once-in-a-century recession so much better.

He and his buddies Wolfowitz and Cheney and Rumsfeld, among others, crafted the entire deception before Dubya was even elected. The plans had been there for years, they just needed a figurehead to sign off on it. That's what every GOP President since Reagan has been, a figurehead. The Democrats haven't been much better, either.

11. In the mid-80's there was a revisionist conference
Wed Sep 2, 2015, 08:22 AM
Sep 2015

It sought to bring together those who formerly opposed the VN War but subsequently changed their minds.

I thought we ought to have an opposing conference, but I was a nobody with no connections and I knew that if I tried to start something it would quickly be co-opted by others with their own agendas.

Google Second Thoughts Conference for more info on that debacle.

who had suddenly had a change of opinion on that subject. Shit like that makes me want to leave the country. I'm not making too many long-range plans these days. I guess I do need to get my paperwork together, though.
