SUNKEN HUMANITY
I was just a refugee
From Africa, Syria, Lybia, Mali...
I came from a war-torn country
Left everything, behind me
My house, my job, my family.
To board a ship, to set me free.
I saw Europe as the only hope
For my sory been heard, considered,
So from the persécutions I got, finally come
To a peacefull en and cope.
Although I would forever miss my home
Therefore I would be considered an human again
For the years to come.
But I didnt knew where I boarded
On a human trafficker' floating wreck
For which I paid
More than a dozen years of work could made
When in the middle of Mediterannean Sea
The winds came up blowingly
Our craft balanced hoplesslee
We were hundreds on board, you see.
And so I left this unfair world
So unfair that I died, forgotten,
For the crime of having just wished
To reach a country where hope and peace
Were no gone.
