Kim cheated on Husband #1 with Future Husband #3, got pregnant by #3, divorced #1, married Husband #2, who adopted #3s twins, divorced Husband #2, married Husband #3, divorced Husband #3, and re-married Husband #2
AKA The One.
Now don't laugh because the Lord forgave her:
Some may think Davis divorce record could be seen as being in conflict with the good Lords definition of marriage toohowever, according to Davis, its all OK for her, because shes been forgiven.
I am not perfect, Davis admits. No one is. But I am forgiven and I love my Lord and must be obedient to Him and the Word of God.

(181 posts)Once my neighbor...who was lovely and a real Christian....told me about a man and a woman who'd broken up their families and married. When I was kind of aghast she explained that "because they are Christian they are forgiven." OK but the 5 kids from this mess? That's what they believe is that if the believe in Jesus they are forgiven for the horrors they do. Nice if you can do it. This explains all the Republican congressmen who do horrible things....they are forgiven and we are supposed to forget about it. Sen. Vitter brings this to mind.

(3,263 posts)If they get in trouble big time or have to be outed for misdeeds then they may have to suffer like David for their sins but they are already forgiven just getting a little payback from Jesus or something like that . Of course they buy this babble .it gives them a clean slate so they never have remorse for all the crisp they pull or are saved again and Jesus puts them back on the true path if they happen to ever feel guilty which is usually never

(2,474 posts)a) That all happened prior to being 'saved' and thus doesn't count
b) Based on what I've seen in the media God and Jesus in particular will forgive literally anything. I do mean anything... aside from not kissing their ass.

(28,270 posts)Like these holier than thou baggers want, Miss Kim would have been stoned to death the first time she committed adultery.
Oh and proven false prophets in America that are pushing for there own sharia laws here would have met the same fate.
But hey in merrika, false prophets get their own TV show and rob old people's social security checks to build their mega churches.
And massive hypocrites get to act like martyrs on fox news and rake in millions from idiot racists and haters.

(39,961 posts)want to "get closer to God" seem to be the folks that are dedicated to moving as far away from the message of "Love thy Neighbor (and not in a sexual way)" as possible?
It's like they took the Bible as an instruction booklet of what not to do, and then do everything they can to do everything the instructions tell them they shouldn't while full-throatedly declaring their righteousness for failing at it?
It just boggles my mind.

(5,417 posts)Or anybody else, there is outrage, but its ok if she is somebody DU hates.
Honestly I dont care about her past. Its irrelevant. She should be doing her job, or quit if she doesnt want to do it.
But anybody in this thread gloating over her past better not cry foul the next time somebody is shot and they bring up his arrest record.

(13,390 posts)when I challenged her on what she labeled her "opposition to homosexuality. She talked about the fact that she has sinned and she just wants everyone to feel as close to god as she does now that she has been saved. She had an answer (that sounded like brainwashing talking points) for everything. So, I didn't press her on the fact that it sounded like her penance was to agree to hate others because she "sinned." From that interaction I concluded that there is a brand of Christianity that taps into narcissism and guilt to spit out an individual who despite having behaved in ways that hurt people, it becomes all about them and their forgiveness. Their future righteousness then is up for the church to take advantage of in doing their hateful bidding and, of course, tithing.
