Florida gun shop's rifle designed to repel 'Muslim terrorists'

APOPKA, Fla., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- A Florida gun store is marketing an assault rifle branded "The Crusader," which is "designed to never be used by Muslim terrorists."

Spike's Tactical in Apopka said the rifle, an AR-15, is laser-etched with a Knights Templar Long Cross on one side and the other side bears the text of Psalm 144:1, "Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle."

The Knights Templar Long Cross was a symbol of Christian Crusaders attempting to reclaim the Holy Land from Muslims during the the Middle Ages.

Ben "Mookie" Thomas, the company's spokesman and a former Navy SEAL, said he came up with the idea to create a gun that devout Muslims wouldn't want to touch.
