I heard Dr. Robert N. McClelland speak about "The View from Trauma Room One" at the Duquesne JFK conference in 2013.

Dr. McClelland spoke to us via computer linkup. He was one of the surgeons on duty at Parkland Memorial Hospital who treated President Kennedy.

Dr. McClelland walked into the ER a few moments after the ER physician had initially received the President. Dr. McClelland and several other surgeons and an anaesthesiologist tried to stabilize the President, but the head wounds were so severe -- the rear half of the right hemisphere of the cerebrum was missing. As he watched, part of the cerebellum fell out of the back of the President's skull.

The doctor was asked by a neurologist attending the Duquesne conference if he had difficulty evaluating the president's wounds, seeing how the patient was facing up and the back of his head was where the worst wounds may have not been visible, or that he may have erred in his recollection based on his attention being elsewhere that day.

Dr. McClelland said: "I was about 18-inches over the President's head for about seven or eight minutes." I paid more attention to that than anything I've paid attention to in my life."

I met him at the Duquesne conference where he participated on a panel. He was a mainstay of fact as a researcher, reporter and author. He sued CIA for records regarding George Joannides, the man who was CIA paymaster for a violent anti-Castro group in New Orleans that crossed paths with time Oswald. Later, when the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) investigated the matter, CIA brought back Joannides from retirement to sandbag the HSCA investigation -- without telling HSCA about his previous work in New Orleans. A very important story that, for some strange reason, the mainstream media aren't interested in covering. Thank goodness for DU.

We talked about it on DU in 2007:

Why Is the CIA Suppressing JFK Files?

Odd, to see so many great DUers who are no longer with us.

How could the most powerful nation in history allow that to happen to its elected leader?

We discussed this question way back when on DU:

Case Closed- Conspiracy: The Dallas Doctors vs. JFK’s Autopsy Photographs

Amazing information, even back then. What we've learned since could fill an off-campus server farm or two.

For some reason lately, my interest in this has been renewed. I think its the fact that now that I know how evil the republicans truly are, I think that there is absolutely NOTHING they won't do for power and to get their opponents out of their way.
