Cops: Job applicant sent naked selfies to HR manager

In a move that will likely lengthen his quest for gainful employment, a 23-year-old Aurora man sent naked selfies to the human resources manager of a St. Charles company where he had just been offered a job earlier this month, according to police.

The human resources manager informed Elmhurst police of the incident on Aug. 14, according to police records.

The HR manager reported that the man sent her two nude photographs of himself via text between Aug. 11 and Aug. 13, according to the police report.

Certainly, he did make a horrible error, regardless...but was it an accident? Did he think "last number dialed" or "last text sent" was to his paramour, or something? That's what this article seems to say (I couldn't see the original article--it was behind a paywall):

What's probably the worst thing you could text a human resources manager? A 23-year-old Aurora man found out the hard way when he sent naked selfies to the HR manager of his potential employer, the Tribune reported.
The manager received two naked pictures from the applicant via text between Aug. 11 and 13 and she reported the incident to Elmhurst Police, police told the Tribune. The St. Charles-based company had offered the sender a job earlier in August.
The sender claims that it was a mistake and the nude photos were meant for someone else. Unfortunately, he still lost his job offer.
The victim, who lives in Elmhurst, did not pursue criminal charges against the sender. But Elmhurst police still want to remind the public that this is a cautionary tale.
"We're seeing it much more often now with our young people sending inappropriate photos of themselves," Elmhurst Police Chief Michael Ruth told the Tribune. "They're sharing it with someone else and the next thing you know it takes on a life of its own."
