Kentucky

Let me say up front that I am alive today thanks, in no small measure, to a doctor from Kentucky. Over my lifetime it has been my privilege to know many other wonderful people from that state. All of which makes it so much more puzzling that steaming pile Mitch McConnell and self-certifying ophthalmologist Rand Paul purport to represent Kentucky’s good people in the Senate. Then there’s nasty soul Kim Davis, backed by yowling Deliverance wannabes, all over the airwaves.

Well, in spite of McConnell, Paul, and Davis working overtime to put a stink on the place, we know otherwise. It’s a lovely place with no shortage of beautiful people. Just wanted to take a moment to remember that.

I sure don't like the things Cruz does. It appears the other clerks does a much better job than Davis does.

I know too well how those from outside can stereotype and put down a state from a position of total ignorance. Be well, my sister, and remember that your neighbors from the Mountain State understand your love of those green hills and their loving people.

Here in the north-central part, I've heard several conversations about "KY being put in a bad light." Some I didn't even start!

It is too bad that a small group of people give a area, state, or country a bad reputation. Like I said in another post in a different thread on another issue that there are right wing nutjobs everywhere.

clean air. It makes me nostalgic for a place I've only driven through.
