The auctioneer sells a 1985 Honda Goldwing GL-1200L motorcycle at the Greenfield Honda liquidation auction Sunday. The bike sold for $6,750 to John Gatts of Des Moines.

GREENFIELD, Iowa It was the 1960s again Sunday in Greenfield and the 70s and 80s, too thanks to two-wheeled time machines.
The Greenfield Honda liquidation auction of more than 100 vintage bikes from the era attracted motorcycle aficionados from across the country and abroad.
Some came for the history. Others brought their checkbooks.
Tony Flatt of Winterset, Iowa, did both. He admired a 1974 Honda XL250 parked near the end of a grassy lot the size of a football field, filled with motorcycles and a few antique tractors and vintage cars.

I remember riding some of those when they were NEW!
(Next I'll be yelling at kids to "Get off my lawn!"
