Grumpy Cat 'throws' out first pitch at Diamondbacks game

Source: USA Today Sports

The cool thing about the Internet is that when you think you’ve reached “Peak Internet,” it’s topped by something even more peak, often just hours or even minutes later. But I’m still going to say it: we’ve reached peak Internet.

Yes, that is Grumpy cat, your Monday morning spirit animal, throwing out the first pitch at Monday’s game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the San Francisco Giants. Only it can’t really throw out a first pitch because it’s a cat.

And it seems less “grumpy” than it does “crushed beneath the unbearable weight of consciousness.” There are a couple of photos from this affair, and they’re best enjoyed when paired with assorted Jack Kerouac quotes.

You’re welcome.

Blooper Ball

Gotta love Grumpy Cat. He'd surely throw a perfect game. Nobody would dare hit on him. If they did, he'd go all Travis Bickle on them. At least that is my narrative and I'm sticking to it.

R&K

Baseball is the best sport on the planet next to Australian Rules Football (AKA "Footie&quot which no sport supersedes. Go Sydney Swans!

As evidence by this video -- most cats would have been clawing your arm off.

Just like honey badger, Grumpy cat don't give a flying f**k!

"Manhandle me as you wish. Just know that I hold you all in utter contempt. You cannot touch my inner being."

Obviously, a higher order of feline philosopher.

Thanks for posting, starroute!

Story: When I was 3 I got a stuffed, giant sized panda for Xmas with a gigantic red bow. I have no memory of it ever after (never cuddled, never nothing).

Fast forward 40 yrs, one of my nieces commented that a stuffed panda was her own, personal, connection, everything, with her grandfather (my father). I was, like, whatt??? I asked my elderly sister about Daddy and pandas, and she said back when a panda birth in a world zoo was a big deal in news worldwide and Daddy got caught up in the rage of it all and started bestowing stuffed pandas on new additions to the family (I was the first).

Well, I thought it was ALL FOR ME!1 I said to my elderly sister, "It's *MY* panda bear!1"

So, fast forward. Recently I updated my life knickknacks and ordered a stuffed little panda for my dashboard. The website was a wildlife charitable place, fine, and featured the CUTEST EVER 5" item with CUTE dripping black eyes. Fine. So what did I get? Well, judge for yourself, a PISSED OFF panda bear, and yes, it's on my dashboard.

There's also this Grumpy Cocker who was pissed at being in the dog pound:
