http://countercurrentnews.com/2015/09/police-man-with-pen/#San Diego Police Chief Shelly Zimmerman says the release of video showing a fatal, officer-involved shooting could jeopardize that officers life and provoke violence against his law enforcement colleagues.
Zimmerman told a federal court last week that the release of the video of the April 30th fatal shooting of Fridoon Nehad would almost certainly inflame violent and unstable elements, leading to threats and violence in San Diego....
Nehads family filed a $20 million lawsuit against the city and SDPD Officer Neal Browder. They argue that the officer used excessive force in shooting the man who was simply holding a pen.
The city argues that officers mistook the pen Nehad was holding for a knife. But mistaking something for a gun does not legitimize an act of homicide.

Remember, guns don't kill people, pens kill people.

Why should I care? Seriously. I find myself less and less able to care all the time.

Maybe if they didn't shoot unarmed citizens, they wouldn't have people hate them enough

We know rightwingers cry like stuffed pigs when asked to pay their fair share in taxes, so imagine their response when told why their city taxes are going up.

When the dog keeps biting the mailman's leg, eventually he might kick the dog, and I'm not going to feel more sorry for the dog than I am the dog bite victim.
