Things Democrats should appreciate about Donald Trump

He's showing campaigning as the lying charade it's always been. He's taking power away form corporations and other billionaires who've been buying the elections for decades by paying for his own campaign. He's minimizing the 'personhood' of corporations and hopefully destroying that power. He's showing that all the "establishment Republicans" are the pitiful lying clowns they are. He's showing they have no clothes. He's pointing out that the Republicans have voted for stupid people who just bamboozled them from the beginning. Are his base angry? Hell yes. They're sick of being conned again and again with promises. Trump is the only one voicing their rage so he gets their support. He's definitely in touch with their hatred.

Trump is using them as much as the regular 'establishment Republicans', but he's totally in touch with their heartfelt jingoism and he's better at manipulating them than the establishment Republicans like Jeb Bush. Jeb Bush used to look powerful and smart. Trump has exposed him for the simpering wimp he is. The stumbling, bumbling political half wit who needs the backing of the corporations and power elite to make him look powerful. Trump has already made Rick Perry drop out because he ran out of money. Very soon others will drop out with their tail between his legs for the same reason, or because their backers see the writing on the wall and the funds disappear. What billionaire wants to keep throwing good money after bad when their preferred candidate keeps hitting bottom in popularity every time Trump opens his mouth? Meantime these billionaires have no power over Trump because Trump pays his own way and knows how to get a free ride just on his entertainer creds. And they can't assume he's going to play the usual pretend political game since he smacks everyone down who dares to criticize him in any way. He hits below the belt because no one gets away with trying to tell him what to do.

He will leave the Republican party in shreds, unable to get back on it's feet by doing the same thing they've been doing.

And just maybe the irony is that's how he's actually making America great again. The Republican party as it is today is history. But only if Trump continues to feed his own ego and use up all the oxygen and express his racism and misogyny and insult all other countries. If he's stopped now all his destructive and toxic energy will be for naught.

Just remember that only 30% of the Republican base back him. That means 70% of Republicans don't like him. And Democrats are not even counted in these polls.

I really despised Scott Walker and I think The Donald was responsible for showing how mundane and dumb he really is.

To me, Jeb has always looked like the chubby little boy who hid his face in Momma's apron if anyone looked unfriendly toward him. He spends more time backing himself out of trouble for statements made that stir up the base than he does in thinking what his strategy will be for a win.

Personally, I don't think his belly is in this election and that he is relying on manipulation of the voting machines to win it for him.

Mitt will probably bail him out before it's all said and done. He's getting antsy at the starting gate.

Don't forget that his family, with his help and with the help of their cronies stole the 2000 election. You can't do that without some powerful backing. Powerful enough to get the Supreme Court to do your bidding. That kind of power give the Bush family an aura of power, even as individually they're pretty pathetic looking. George H. W. Bush looked like a weak-chinned wimp his entire life. He was seen as a wimp when he was Reagan's Vice President. Dubya looked like an idiot at best yet Jeb and the Supreme Court handed him the Presidency.

They just expected the same for Jeb Bush, and don't forget he has billionaire backers who have filled his coffers generously. Without Trump to ridicule him the President Making Machine would have Jeb as our next President. They've been caught off guard by Trump and can't get their footing again because it never occurred to them that anything like Trump could happen to them.

And they had most Americans convinced that Jeb was the smartest in the Bush family. Now, not so much.

I agree with what you say in your OP, but most of all I also like how his tax the rich more meme is freaking out the establishment supply-side pushers. They're really going into code-red alert.

In a race with Bernie Sanders he'll look like the fascist he is though.

It's getting harder and harder to marginalize and sweep Bernie away. Just this morning CNN covered Bernie's campaign speech for quite a while. Probably around 10 to 15 minutes. That's a sure sign that they're beginning to notice.

I doubt Trump can insult Bernie away. And it's quite possible that if he tries, he'll only bring attention to what Bernie is saying, and that's not what he or the Republicans want. It's not what the billionaires or Wall Street or the corporations want.
