this (female) reporter thinks you cant rape a prostitute.

it's only "theft of services"

I’m not one of those women who believe rape victims are at fault because they dressed too provocatively or misled some randy guy into thinking it was his lucky night.

But when you agree to meet a strange man in a strange place for the purpose of having strange sex for money, you are putting yourself at risk for harm.

Anything not agreed to beforehand by both parties is rape.

Prostitutes are frequently raped, sometimes murdered.

The more fucked up, misogynistic, and sexually repressed a society is, the greater the dangers prostitutes face.

It doesn't matter if she was a prostitute, or was paid. If she was unwilling, it is rape.

That doesn't excuse anybody who does rape, and most rapes aren't committed by random strangers. But much like locking your house can lessen the odds of people stealing your stuff, not going to have sex with random strangers is a solid safeguard to avoid the fact that some people are criminals.

Rape and consensual sex are the opposite of each other. Every John that pays money, is having consensual sex. It is mystifying these folks that keep pretending there is some golden ticket for rape. NO. WRONG.

I...really can't say I'm surprised, but I'm still terribly disgusted. It seems that some people have simply begun to value the pain of others even less, and I'm not sure why but it's been happening a while. It's truly reprehensible.

then rape is the victim's fault? Many times women put themselves at increased risk, whether it's walking alone late at night, having too much to drink, meeting up with a stranger and realistically being a female no matter how cautious, puts you at risk. No matter what situation a woman finds herself in, rape is a crime and the victim should never be blamed for an illegal act against her.

Wives can also be raped by their husbands, but it took a long time to get those laws on the books.
