Michele Bachmann: Bombing Iran is 'peace, not war'

... quoting one of the slogans of George Orwell’s totalitarian government in “1984”
— “War is peace” —
Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann (R) claimed that “bombing Iranian nuclear facilities is called peace, that’s not called war.”

Bachmann soldiered on, claiming that sanctions against Iran won’t work nearly as effectively as simply bombing the country.
“That does not bring about World War III,” she insisted, “that ensures peace into the future.”

... It’s worth remembering that when Bachmann speaks of another world war, she does so happily, because as she said in August, she believes World War III will usher in the End Times.

Bachmann probably isn’t aware that belief in an “end times” began around 500 B.C. in Zoroastrianism in which beliefs parallel and predate the framework of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam (the Abrahamic faiths).
The Bahá'í Faith, Rastafari movement, Norse religions, Hinduism, and Buddhism also have versions of an ‘end time’.

are mad and should be placed in involuntary lock-up in padded cells as a threat to themselves and others just like any suicidal or homicidal person might be. Heavily sedated too.

I do not know why mental health organizations haven't declared this form of delusion and those who hold it a menace to society.
