Bernie at Liberty

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by TexasTowelie (a host of the General Discussion forum).

Watching this morning's event at Liberty U, and marveling at Bernie Sanders' reception there, I couldn't help but wonder if Falwell's institution might be having second thoughts about hosting non-Repubican speakers. After all, Liberty U has not been known as a bastion of the concept of keeping an open mind and it looked as though some of those kids were pleasantly intrigued.

On a side note, there were a couple of interesting shots of the audience, mixed bag of reactions to Bernie. Quite a few smiling and engaged, but no shortage of arms-crossed glowers. Would be interesting to know the faculty's spin in their classes. Hmmmm.
