http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2015/09/14/national-park-service-bans-e-cigarette-use-where-smoking-prohibitedI just saw this article. Seems like a dumb idea to me. Most national parks are pretty big, and I'm failing to see the harm in allowing cigarettes.
I understand that smoking has fire risk, which can be a concern out west, and hopefully smokers will carry their butts out with them if they do smoke, but what is the harm in Ecigs? I guess the good news is this is almost unenforceable, so most people probably wont care.

(1,937 posts)1. No longer a nicotine addict
but seriously
e-cigs vs cigs
i'll take the e-cigs any day as a person getting exposed to it
specially in a forest environment...less fire hazard from butts tossed
and less risk to animals from (nicotine in one filter kills quite a few animals)
the battery excuse sounds kinda amusing compared to matches, glowing butts, cellphones, flashlight batteries, bottle bottoms (magnifying glass), and so on
strange

That, in a nutshell is why America just plain sucks. People have no respect for others any more. Just their own fucking selfish selves.

(12,047 posts)4. That is complete bullshit - a cell phone battery is just as much a fire risk - ban cell phones!
Yeah - fuck em - nobody will follow this ridiculous rule anyway.
Just about as stupid as no vaping on a beach - seagull farts produce more obnoxious vapors, ban seagulls!
