Jim Bakker: in the End Times, people will eat babies

Right Wing Watch story here

Uh... Does the loony bin realize he's missing?

From the article:

Televangelist Jim Bakker, hawking his trademark buckets of survival food on his program earlier this month, warned his studio audience that they must hide the food they store up in preparation for the Last Days because as the world collapses, even their “sweet neighbors” will become so ravenously hungry that they will steal food and even eat their own babies (this is not the first time Bakker has used the threat of cannibalism to sell his survival food buckets).

His type will forever amaze me. However, even more amazing is that he has enough followers left after he cheated/stole from so many to maintain another scam.

I know of one woman who gave him over $40K because she became so emotionally attached to that couple when Tammy would smear mascara all over her face with her tears. Her family learned of it too late...actually, about the time they were charged.

Well, we know there are still sheeple alive and believing this crap.

They call themselves "preppers" now, implying they are preparing for something. They won't say exactly what, but it requires bunkers, night vision equipment, large stockpiles of ammunition, etc. They feel they were duped when they sent thousands of dollars getting ready for the disaster that would accompany the millennium, but they're pretty sure this is the real deal.

I think we will dine on televangelists first. They've made such handsome livings off sucking money out of the poor that they'll be nice and fat and juicy.

We'll get used to the bile flavor permeating them.

Why is there so much crazy in America. Or is it endemic to this species?

If memory serves, it had something to do with the poor economically burdened Irish selling their children to the wealthy for food, but it's been a long time since I read "A Modest Proposal" back in my college days. I remember opining I'd rather opt for an extravagant proposition, my own little joke, but then Swift was being satirical, come to think of it.

Anyway, I have absolutely no, zero, zip, nada regard for Jim Bakker and can't believe he's still in the business of ripping off those stupid enough to watch/listen to him, much less send him money. One of the many "preachers" who made an agnostic out of this former Baptist. Does give one pause, however, as to just what's in his "trademark buckets of survival food".

41“Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons.g 42For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink. 43I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’

44“Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’

45“And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’
