only to be shot down by some ridiculous school teacher. I hope this kid, when he's working for a hi-tech firm making hundreds of thousands a year, get's the last laugh. The teacher and the school should apologize to him and his family for humiliating them. It's not just Texas that's bonkers with fear, it's all these right wingers in this country who think the boogie man is coming to get them.

This guy gets it. Maybe it took two terms...but he is on the mark with this country and how to deal with the people that live here. Even our kids when someone or a group does them harm.

The POTUS refuses to watch an innocent child's dream get trampled on by a group of right wing morons!

I don't know if that sends the right message.

He shouldn't have been treated the way he was treated - that's obvious to everyone.

But the kid is caught up in a lie. He said he built a clock. He didn't. He faked the building of a clock by sticking an actual clock in a different box.

This is a moment where I am bursting with pride to have voted for him 4 times. Someone said that Jimmy Carter was one of the more honorable men to occupy the WH. President Obama is so justice oriented, warm, and compassionate. I find it very soothing to have this president display characteristics of a father who standing up for his kid that encounters injustice.

Obviously the response from the school and police was horrible, but...

That kid did not build a clock. He put the parts from a clock in a different box. Grade school kids are doing things much more complex than that all over the country. Pretty much any poster on this forum could do the same with a hammer (to destroy the original clock) and some tape.
