Taxpayers paid for it. Would be worth something in scrap. More than idolizing it.

I'm generally on the side of preserving history. Air force one is important in US history.
There are two identical planes. The other one is at The national Museum of the air force. Do we scrap that too? What about the Enola Gay. That would bring in some money for scrap.
And before anybody says it, the presidental library is a museum, of artifacts from that president. Also, who does the library pay rent to? Its run by the federal government. Does it pay rent to itself?
