ANYBODY who claims Barack Obama was not born in the United States despite evidence BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT to the contrary is simply saying "birth certificate" instead of spouting horrible racially based derogatory terms.

There is no question that he was born in Canada, and I don't understand how he can be running for President. I always learned in school that you have to be born in the US to become President. The US could include a military base overseas. But neither of those things apply to Cruz.

His mother was a US citizen residing in Canada at the time. He automatically is a US citizen when born to a US citizen abroad.

There are two types of US citizens, natural born and naturalized. As Cruz was a citizen at birth, there was never a reason for him to become a naturalized citizen (like his father became).

US citizen at birth = natural born citizen.
