portraying a stereotype with a bowtie. Got a BS in Mech Engineering then worked in PR and training films for Boeing while doing sketch comedy.

Flashing a peace sign then working for a military contractor -- that's Bill Nye.

I think he's a great science teacher, but I don't watch television, so maybe I'm missing something?

Who would you trust to understand and write legibly and credibly about science?

A guy with a B. S. in engineering, who used to work in Boeing?
(And believe me, science is a HUGE part of Boeing!)

Or Jeffrey Smith, who has a degree in business from an unaccredited Maharishi Yogi meditation "college" that is teaching it's students how to fly, without an airplane, like in "Peter Pan?"

The way he embarrassed and obliterated Ken Ham made me respect him even more. Plus, he made me love science as a child, which continues even to this day.

The bow-tie thing kind of carried over from his appearance on his show. It's his trademark. Plus, I think he looks great in a bow-tie.

What I'm saying is, with all of the nonsense and woo that is popular in this country, Bill Nye is on our side. I bet he inspired a lot of people to become scientists when science was seen as a dorky thing to like. He made me proud to be a nerd.

Whose planes I fly on routinely. I doubt any engineer would be ashamed to work for such an entity.

So that makes them and anyone who works or worked there automatically 100% "EEEEE-VIL!"
